Can I just say thank you for taking the time to notice we’re lesbians! Even though I try to be really transparent about it, not everyone checks the descriptions/tags/FAQ from every artist on their feed (and that’s fine, I totally understand). But I get a little steamed when people make a big deal of trying to “figure out” my girlfriend’s orientation in the comments as if it’s some big confounding mystery that two gals could love each other 😒 

Part of me is like, “Does it even matter? People can relate to good art whether it’s gay or not.” but representation is important for people to see, and muddling our identity erases the impact it could have on someone who’s struggling to see people like themselves expressed in art.
